You might want to try Wine. Works reasnobly well running flash for me. I dont bother trying photoshop as i now use gimp (Linux or Windows).

Inkscape isn't even in the same class as Illustrator. Illustrator is one of the finest programs ever made. Ever. I've designed all kinds of neat things with it - book covers, business cards, pamphlets, posters, and maps. And the transportability with InDesign and Photoshop is amazing.

However, Inkscape is doing reasonably well. If they could add support for PostScript and Encapsulated PostScript, and maybe even PDF, Inkscape could get big fast. But licensing and Adobe don't mix very well. So expect Inkscape's development to be kinda slowish.
