Cutting out an image with irregular sides...can't get the background away from the selected shape

fanfan1313 Linux Newbie Join Date: Jul 2005 Posts: 122	Cutting out an image with irregular sides...can't get the background away from the selected shape In The GIMP I can the select a shape I want to cut out using the sciccers icon, however I don't know how to actually take out the background. Also how would I insert a new background? Thanks for answering this trivial question -fanfan __________________ Please visit http://fanfan1313.googlepages.com Reviews and howtos available (very, very few at the moment) There is no problem so complicated that you cannot find a very simple answer to it if you look at it in the right way
