Has anybody adapted Adobe Premier Pro or Final Cut to work on Linux?

I don't think so but there are some alternatives like

I found it on GNU directory at: http://directory.fsf.org/vid/manip/ go there for a complete list of video editing software for Linux

found some alternatives like cinelerra, already mentioned, kino and zwei-stein

haven't tried filmgimp but alot reccomends it

for simple editing blender can be used also (actually for compositing but it's usable).
