Linux Administrator needed

A Social networking company located in San Francisco is expanding rapidly and we are looking for talented network/systems administrators to join our operations team. You will become part of a fast-paced and motivated team that is designing and supporting highly available networks and systems composed of hundreds of servers. We are looking for individuals with a strong background in network infrastructure including routers, switches and Linux servers.

We are currently seeking SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR for a Permanent position in San Francisco, CA 94105 :

Skill Sets required:
Experience with highly available Linux architectures composed of hundreds of servers.
Excellent knowledge of operating systems internals, system utilities and communication protocols
Significant experience evaluating and recommending solutions to complex network problems.
Good understanding of load balancing technologies and web servers.
Excellent organizational skills and strong communication skills.
Experience working in collocation datacenter facilities.
Experience with SNMP.


Preferred Skills and Experience

Strong understanding of client-server software, server architectures, and performance bottlenecks.
5+ years experience with Linux.
Experience with BGP, HSRP, VLAN’s, Spanning Tree and other routing protocols.
Prefer candidates with experience scripting in Bourne, Bash, Perl, Python, and/or C.
Strong understanding of VPN technologies.
Experience with Postgres
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
