Exclamation WTB: USB bootable build

I'm looking to purchase someone's build of an uncompressed filesystem, fully functional Linux which is bootable from USB and does not require a hard drive.

Price is negotioable, but we won't be cheap for a quality end product Additionally, we may bring you on for additional contract work.

Not offering my own services here, but if I've read between the lines of your requirements correctly might I suggest Slax?

Technically it is compressed but it automatically saves all changes in a persistant directory. Not a persistant /home but all of the filesystem is persistant. It boots perfectly from USB and is only 190MB in size. That means it can be modified and is not your usual 'livecd' type USB distro. Slax 6 was only recently released and is probably the best portable USB distro I've ever been fortunate to use and Tomas is very helpful there.

My desire to have an uncompressed filesystem is to allow easy development of an application which is going to be used in an embedded system. If it's compressed, it's of no use to me unless there are tools I can run off my Windows machine which will allow me to read and change files in a compressed filesystem.
