Application Developer

Kelly IT Resources ®, a division of staffing giant Kelly Services, is partnering with a large hi-tech hardware manufacturer located in Irvine, CA. We are currently seeking candidates for the following exciting contract Application Developer opportunity:

Responsibilities and prospects for professional growth include:

The Application Developer will be responsible for basic function back-end application development using C++/LAMP.

Primary responsibilities include:
• Translates designs into software by analyzing functional specifications and interpreting complex system design specifications.
• Writes, reviews, and/or evaluates implementation plans, schedules, design documents, interface documentation, specifications, test plans and procedures.
• Codes, integrates, tests, debugs, and refines the software to produce the required product.
• Performs audits to ensure all intended functionality, operations and performance requirements are achieved.
• Follows software configuration management processes
• Supports verification, validation, and system test
• Work closely with other application developers, test engineers, Product Management, Project Management, and third parties
• Manages time across multiple projects


Qualifications:
• 6+ years object oriented programming using C++
• 4+ years LlNUx/UNIX experience
• SQL database experience, MySQL preferred
• XML parsing/manipulation experience
• PHPIWeb experience a plus
• Knowledge of networking/sockets
• Related4 year college degree or unfinished degree if candidate possess sufficient self taught knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be able participate in conversations with large groups to resolve complex engineering problems that span multiple disciplines and organizations.
• Require high intellectual capacity to deal with complex problems.
