    Thank you for this article. I've known about Bootpart for years but never really tried to use it. I didn't realize it was so simple!

    That's a great alternative to Grub or Lilo. Kind of like Easyboot.

    its exactly stuff like this that make it hard to give people a suggestion of which distro to try out first! I personally don't like PCLinuxOS but the author of this thread thinks its the cats meow. I personally like gnome better than kde because of all the crap that seems to bloat kde. gnome is less convoluted. I also like Slackware as a distro. and there are those that swear by arch. so i cant really discount anything said here but offer personal opinion that really doesn't account for the validity of a distro.

    I don't see how anything good can come out of this thread as carlosponti said it is just peoples personal views on the matter, and no one can say that one distro is better than another as it is personal choice.
