Intro
Good day everyone im new to the area, and would like to say that I am looking forward to meeting everyone over time. My name is Branden im 24 and live in Florida, born and raised. I do play alot of wow crack since nov'06 hopefully I will cut back, Owell. I'm a little rusty to *nix been a while since I touched it, probably about 3 years ago, I fiddled a little bit with it. Im trying to get back into the drift of using it again, but my main problem is knowing which flavor to use, im sure thats everyones biggest issue when trying to take a step up.
Sometimes when I get bored I like to play with photoshop and design a site then cut it up and use dreamweaver and css to piece it together, sometimes it turns out to be good sometimes not. I am a huge starbucks junky, and I like to try to trick out my ride. I have a profile here ScionLife Member Profile: Beyond if anyone wants to see =P. Im also in school for programming and analysis so I do that alot to, im just unaware of what field im going to enter. As you can see I have alot on my hands ad would like to start getting back into the drift of expanding what there is I need to know and what I need to learn.
Im not the greatest typer in the world I type with 2 fingers due to a neurological thing but at 45wpm
im good with my code, although im still a little rusty I'll get back into shape sometimes I lose confidence in myself because of the way I type but my knowledge expands every second I press a key
.
Over time I hope my reputation will grow with everyone and that I become more aware and known with people around me, I am looking forward to meeting everyone and the knowledge that everyone has to share.

Welcome to the forums! (am I the first?!). I'm re-n00bed to Linux as well --I've had a fairly constant but very restrained use of Linux for a few years, but I have recently devoted myself to non-Windows things due to a series of severe frustrations with a recent problems I've had.... you can read a bit on that in the thread I'm fixing to post.
Anyways, good luck! This place is great for any help you might need --even if you can't get a complete "fix", these people really know what they are talking about and can usually at the very least send you in the right direction.

Ive actually tried a few before, the first I have tried was rh, then mandrake/driva, and fedora, I seem to have better luck with mandriva though, i'll get on top of that today, I want to hurry up and eat my flavor of ice cream before it melts.
