Looking for a particular GNU program...

I'm a pure linux user (currently on Ubuntu), but I play tech support for virtually everyone I know, and most of them are using windows. I routinely do anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall stuff, just basic fixes and making the boxes more secure. I currently use Zone Alarm Free for my firewall fix, but I was wondering if you had any info on GPL licensed firewalls, as zone alarm is turning into beg-ware. I'm sure that there is something better than zone alarm out there. I totally fell in love with ClamWin and its simplistic interface, but I'm looking for a firewall now. Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!!

I have Shorewall on my current box, but Smoothwall is also good. It can run on a separate machine in fact. There are many other options, and we have plenty of choices for firewalls as *nix users.

Actually I meant a firewall for a Windows box. I stumbled upon FireStarter for my Ubuntu machine, and I really like that one. But I was wondering about GNU Firewall programs for windows.
