Petition for games under Linux
Hello,
before i begin, sorry for my bad english.
I post here because i discovered a petition, that encourage the videogame's editor to make game compatible with linux.
the problem is that it's just in french (and italian soon). So I try to find a traductor for an english traduction.
So if there is a french speaker, he can go here to traduce, but here for sign the petition (because we are going to change the site's version)
I hope that you understood, and thank you to have read

well with the expense of directX licensing i doubt most companies are going to ditch it anytime without some guarantees that linux gaming will be their bread and butter. plus i dont believe those petitions do anything to help but get a bunch of people gathered to sign it.

thank of your answer, I try to answer to you now:
if a big part of the linux utents sign this petition, it makes a lot of people and the companies are going to see how many persons are interested about buying games running on linux. And if there is a lot of persons interested, the companies are going to see that the linux's market can be profitable.
here is an example of a internet petition's succes:
Aboliamoli.eu - COSTI DI RICARICA - CE L'ABBIAMO FATTA! or PetitionOnline - Success Stories
(it's too hard for me all this english

Petitions can and do make a difference, but I suppose it depends on how they are delivered and how much pressure the delivering organisation is able to exert.
I've been involved in signing petitions which have been effective, but only because they were backed up by legal action. On their own they probably have far less effect.
