    That's exactly it. Much in the way you would use the variables x,y and z in a maths solution off the top of your head programmers often use foo, bar and baz as the equivalents in pseudocode or to demonstrate syntax.

    As a joke? Some of 'em put little wordplays in thing. I dunno though...

    Why did they call it that then?
