It's a FUD posting on a blog. The good and bad things about blogs is that anyone with an internet connection can post to them, and they are free to post whatever they want, regardless of truth.
I could start a blog tomorrow on how the world is coming to an end due to a large decline in the number of pirates and the imminent return of a flying anthropomorphic dish of spaghetti. That doesn't mean anyone has to listen. (By the way, there is already a site about that.)
I recommend that everyone simply ignore this "article." Don't give this person any more hits than they already have. It just encourages them.Registered Linux user #270181

So what is this implying? That Linux will change it's name to Mozilla and become an Open Source project?
Or does it mean that Linux compares to Windows as Firefox compares to Explorer?
Ha! He should have said Gnu/Linux
, but other than that it's a compliment
All hail the mighty spaghetti, there is hope for us yet

His essay is nothing more than rambling drivel. It features misspelled words and grammatical errors. Quick dissection:
The article he cites clearly states that "Novell's open platforms business, which includes Linux, was up 77% year over year to $22 million, and Linux platform invoicing rose 95%, to $38 million."According to TheStreet.com, cash flow dropped from $36 million to $26 million.
What - no citation for that?A recent study from Gartner actually shows Microsoft (MSFT) taking back market share in the server OS business.
Heavily disputed and questioned. I won't rehash that here.Microsoft recently said that Linux violates a number of its patents.Could be.
Ridiculous conclusion. The essay doesn't support that. No comparison to Netscape can be found in his "points".Linux has become the next Netscape.
