Congratulations. I kinda feel like an old dog now, coz I have been using Linux for about 8 years now and FreeBSD for about 4. Its amazing how fast things change in the *nix world. I have been particularly impressed with the improvement of GUI interfaces in the last few years which has had the impact of attracting many non geeks to *nix.

Actually, I have been using Linux a bit longer than the 4 years I mentioned.
But all my systems (and I gathered some during the years ) have been MS free since september 7 2003.

It's a good feeling to be free of the oppressors, the man is always trying to keep you down!

Last week I learned the "ignorance is bliss". I haven't had to mess with any of my networking stuff because everything works. I had to install Windows on a laptop for a friend, and I had problems. I've only been using Linux for a year, but I had forgotten some of the Windows command prompt commands! Installing and using Windows for a while quickly reminded me of the reason why I had decided to give Linux a serious try!

I learn some Linux troubleshooting and goodies as they come up, but yes, sometimes ignorance is bliss.
