Well, I run WindowMaker, because it has been just nice for me .few years ago ... and it was included in all the distros I used. I plan to switch to fluxbox in near future, for its simplicity and manageability. However, I have already planned so for maybe 3 yrs, but there are tasks with higher priority to do everytime :-/

Well, it depends ... let's say at home: I have a brother. He's an artistic personality, so it took some time to get him used with the windowmaker. I trust ma family members, so that I often leave my work as is to not to have to start all programs, find all files again ... yeah, bit lazy ... and I dont want him to logout the machine or even to reboot to windows (I'm sure you'll understand

At school I'm taking care of small lab with 10 WS's, where the students require admin privileges for their work, and I work at one of those. So I'd need to download the software, install it to the template packages, then build the templates and distribute the templates etc.

At work I usually need just browser window and a few terminals. So the WM is enough. But sometimes I need to open an attachement, run the LDAP client, connect the computerr to another network, connect it as router ... the machine runs an ancient Suse, but reinstalling would be pain and I'll miss this and that package or setting for the next year.

An why I do write this ? Maybe I would get the fluxbox installed instead ... but actually I want to say, that sometimes the things are not as easy as they seem. And that I like fluxbox and I'd like to switch some time ..

    Have a nice time
    S.

Heh, well I do understand what you mean.
Ah, well I kinda know what you mean. I still want to build a Fluxbox for Windows (Since I have DUALBOOT).
But well, I dont have the time for it.. (The Project is about 15% now)

Ah, well have fun with WindowMaker ^^
