Cool Distros having System Control Panel

Apart from SuSE, Mandriva, Debian, PCLOS are there any other distros that come with a System control panel? I do NOT mean the KDE or GNOME CP!

What are the user comments about Kubuntu? Would you recommend it for newbies?

What do you mean, if not those? What are you looking to do that can't be handled by either one of those utilities?

If you are referring to central places for doing sysadmin stuff, then you are more or less limited to the distros you mentioned (although I did not realise Debian had such a control center). Fedora and derivatives do not have a control center, but has the system-config* set of tools that aid in system administration.

    Slackware has vim of course
Vector comes with Vector Administration System Menu (vasm)

And as far as Kubuntu goes, it's a matter of taste again
If the newbie prefers KDE over Gnome, it's an option. I wouldn't know why it wouldn't be a good idea. But then, I really like KDE. I don't think it's to difficult, if that is what you're asking.

I gave my friend Kubuntu, he's not into computers at all except for gaming and looking at his girlfriends tits. He likes it.

To risk using a Farkism, this thread is useless without pics.

You people are right. What hell should I be doing with that. Now that answers my question. I heard somewhere that the KDE packaged with Kubuntu is pretty fast. (It takes a whole minute to open a window in KDE on my box!). It's months since I used GNOME and my memory is erased with the ext3 filesystem so that I don't remember how did it go. Could anyone tell me that what type of configuration had to be done to GNOME?

.......oh I think it was associating filetypes with them. Right? That's because the folders don't open without we associating Nautilus with them. Also, how do we get GNOME to run on a dock rather than a dull taskbar?
