Question Problem with my Dell Laptop's Intel Wi-Fi device

A couple of months ago I tried to update my Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection Driver, on my Dell Inspiron E1705, Laptop through Dell's Driver and Downloads.

    .

When I first tried to install the new driver it didn't work and said that it returned my Wi-Fi to its previous installation, before the update. Then I tried it again and it updated, but I feel like something is wrong with my Wi-Fi device. Because before the update my Wi-Fi device connection, with my Home Network, was rated Excellent, and now it's Poor or Very Poor. Also if I put my computer in Hibernate or Stand By Mode, it takes about a minute to find my Home or my School's Network. Even if I'm a foot away from the router or access point. And when I do get connected I sometimes see this Intel Wi-Fi Error. Here are Intel's suggestions on how fix the problem:

So if anybody can help me with my problem I would appreciate it .

I think you'd best be served by visiting a MS/Windows forum or even Dell.
