Unwanted Arguments ?
hi all,
In the morning...i went for an arguments with of my friend-he is windows user -
I normally i won't get into any arguments ...but when it comes linux ...i really involved in debate..Though we didn't end fighting each other...i'm quite upset.
Just these windows users never understand how much linux can offer
They don't even know linux as GUI interface
Total lack of awareness.Have u ever come across such situtation --fight with ur friends for linux..or standing against group of windows users???
at times i realise these arguments end up in bad feeling ...
any thoughts- Lakshmipathi.G

I gave up caring what other people use on their computers but must say that I am glad to have a choice. In the end, everyone should try the various options, then use whatever works for them.

It had happened to me a lot of times but now, I dont care. But sometimes real jerks annoy me a lot. I show them my Lappy having Feisty and they dont utter a single word after that.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

i run windows on only one PC at home the rest of the network are ubuntu or CentOS and i dont really care about peoples thoughts on it. most not all windows users havent even heard of linux so i consider the source. others that swear by it i say fine you can use what you want but its my personal preference.

Yeah... I stopped arguing about it too. If someone starts I just ignore them. Let them howl in the dark!

I recently bought a second hand machine with Windows 2K installed, which was handy for me personally but i must confess the thought of using WIndows again filled me with a sense of embarrassment.
Like everybody else, I dont really care what other people use but if sombody is interested in LInux I'll go the extra mile to help them. As for those that blindly argue the case for Windows, their sheer ignorance should be a src of amusment!!

Thanks guyz..it seems everyone had their own experience
I never really force any one to use linux.Just an awareness i'm trying to create among my friends..-Few months one of friend - works as team leader in an mnc- asks me whether linux has any editors like notepad in windows...and also there is wide spread myth that linux installation is extremely difficult and hard to perform...and so many things.
Though i'm going 2 start any arguments on linux GUI or performace hereafter...let them learn/realise by themselves.if some starts it,i'll continue to put forward my views-may be in cool way rather taking stronge view....

Just boot their machines using any LiveCD ( I prefer SLAX or Austrumi, works on all machines ) and show them what Linux is now.
