    Microsoft is Funny

I just found some interesting stuff.

Oh, and this is funny as well:
How to Remove Linux and Install Windows XP

I know why Linux is more expensive.
In there tests they put Windows Profs at a LFS box.
That guy Never worked with Linux before. So he trys Windows Commands. Doesnt work.. Umm, he claims he needs more and better Hardware.. Doesnt work either.. Well umm what the.. He thinks.. "I guess I need to buy a book".
He buys a book and starts learning. When he falls asleep a Microsoft Official goes to the PC and hits "rm -rf".. The guy wakes up and gets error during boot.

And yea THEN linux is more expensive..

Yeah, I know. They even had a project based on this for quite a long time, called 'get the facts' or something similar.

They claim that their Total Cost of Operation is lower, due to lower labor costs in the IT department mainly.
But their study was flawed and biased and the project was taken off the air recently. I thought I bookmarked some comparative studies about that, but alas.

    Code:
    rm -rf
He probably mistook this for rtfm lol

It would be fun to see a MS expert on a LFS box:
    $dir
    -bash: dir: command not found
    $cd \
    >
    *wtf??*
    >help
-bash: cd: help: No such file or directory
    $rm -rf
    $
    *No output, nothing happened?!?*

Eh... sir? This machine don't work!

Yea he'd think were is the C:\..
Since almost everybody thinks that when they are used to Windows (And never had or used Linux)...
I also made that mistake when I had Linux for the first time.. (Gentoo 2006 )

My CD-ROM drive is _gone_, my floppy drive is _gone_, I can't even get into graphics. There are no executables.exe. Not even a bootscript to edit, so the machine boots into graphics. The directory separators are escape characters... etcetera

Oh, I don't envy new users. And I specially don't envy Windows experts who know all there is to know about operating MS, but for the life of them can't access their second drive (it's the D:\, and now it's gone!).

By the way, is this why you love Gentoo at work?
