    Looking for a Team

    Hi,

After a while of Searching for Brutal Zombie Slaughter Games over the internet I figured out there aint any read good ones.
The one I like the most at the moment are, PainKiller, Blood, Doom and Zombie Rampage

    But they all have problems.
Painkiller, Not Enough Weapons. To much of the same.. Boring
Blood, well.. too Easy.. No Endless Massacre Mode or something.
Doom (1&2), Played for QUITE a while (umm 4~5 years) its losing its Glamour.. And, well not enough Change.. When you make a Splatter Thing well you soon seen it with the SuperShotgun. And well My Bloodlust just doesnt stop with Pixel Power..
Doom 3, I have not seen ANY massive Monster Charge in the Entire Game.. Max you see about 5 or 6 monsters.. Its really too easy.. And for me it was more looking were to go then really Slaying monsters..
And that Flash game, well it has a lot of flaws.. For one its a Flash Game. So its not big enough... More Change and stuff would just really be cool. I like the Survival Mode. But then again.. I have to defend a base.. I keep forgetting about that I just want to slay the zombies and make them go away from me.
And I have heard of a Unreal Mod that just makes a Room were zombies keep dropping in. But I coudnt find it so I cant say anything about that.

But the fact is.. There isnt any good Zombie Slaughter game out there that runs extremely well on linux and ofc gives me my BloodLust.

So, I want to start my own Zombie Splatter Game.. ^^
The problem is. I need a team since I cant Draw.. And coding alone gets boring.

I want to make it run in Linux. I also like to use SDL since then its easy Portable to other systems.
I have alot of ideas but ofc I need a team.

I am looking for Artists, C++ Programmers and people who just want to help.
And ofc we also need a TeamLeader..
And, to be honest I never really made a Game in C++. I am used to make Office Programs or Contributed on a Game (Not Lead Programmer). So I never (its shameful I know) knew how to make Enemys do diffrent things. I know it must be done with Classes but how to do it exactly.. I dont know.
    So well I hope that isn't a turn-off.

Is there anyone who likes to help?
    In anyway?
I'd really like to make this game. (2D)
    So.. well Who is in?

    Lets make Tux-Splatter..

Heh thanks. That are already 2 Positive Responses. (Both Dutch for some Reason?).
I really hope that there are people signing up on developing this game.
I am not planning to make something huge. I am very realistic here. Since In have worked on a couple of projects before. I know that I should start small and then if the team works great and stuff we can expand. If you are interested, please sign up.
If not I just have to ask somebody how to do that with Monsters. (Classes + Threads but how.. to make them do stuff on there own..) And I make the entire game myself.
And the graphics will be Samples then. (Solid One Colour Blocks).
But I hope I dont have to do that.. :/

Anywho, who wants to join in?

Sorry for a reply on myself.
    But..
I have made a Code design.
It will be based on RPG-Maker 2k3.
So, basicly a user can write scripts to add: Monsters, Guns, Skills, Objects, Bosses
I have been thinking about Network. I think I will implent that on version 2.
So, Basicly Version 1.0 will get:
    - Fully working Game
    - 'Fully' editable
    - nCurses and SDL Interfase (Framebuffer planned for v2)
    - Endless + 'Editable' Story Mode.
I think I have this done in about 1~2 weeks if I work alone.
Though I still need somebody do to Graphics and Sounds/Music.

So I am still looking for a Artist.
So any artist. Please stand up. Just one Is needed. The number of sprites arnt that much. (If nobody applys I use sprites from RPGMaker 2k3 (yea, I have a bad History ))
    Anywho, all Artists.
    Please take Contact with me.

    Cheers,
    Robin

(Tux-Splatter is planned for beta Release on 5 November..)

heh well I am talking about Linux/C++.
And I really need a Artist.
Anywho if you are intrested I might be able to use you for Designing the Scripting Language.
When I design such a Language it often goes to C++ or something to hard for a user. (I like to include doubles, intergers, longs, bytes, chars, arrays and stuff instead of only a integer, string, array..)
If you are intrested in the project. And want to help there is always a spot open for you

oh, and people.. I know this aint a Gamer Forum nor a programmer forum..
I just posted it here since I like this comunity..
