If it were so easy, I could have had each and every distro stored on DVDs and CDs, but unfortunately, that is not possible. One, Debian consists of many CDs and costs a lot. There aren't any official stores here in Pakistan selling Linux distros. If you think I can do it at 8 kbps, you are wrong. I am downloading Kubuntu since weeks but have reached 29 %.

I recommend the netinstall cd. it's quick and you can select a full desktop.
netinstall means that internet has to be connected during install. I face up to ten times disconnections while browsing internet per each session.

Even worse, we have no choice over choosing a distro, we have to do with what we get. I wanted openSUSE when what was available was Fedora. I had to change all my plans and I don't like Fedora.

The last option was to request free CDs of Ubuntu, I did that and I am waiting and will wait for another month and probably another - theres no clue.
