why do I feel so lonley beeing the only one using IceWM - is it way too <00\_ (=cool) for the rest of you

IceWM and not icon-manager-thingy - if I had one I'd be (ab)using it just like old times in the old/obsolete/deprecated ( ) windows desktop... Some times I even takes days before I fire up my little wallpaper changer script (which means either the "previous" bg or none)

I picked KDE simply because that's the one I know most about. While I'm still new to Linux I thought it would be better but as I get more experienced with the OS I'll probably have a look at the likes of GNOME or this fluxbox thing that you've all be talking about.

I'm a big fan of KDE, although for the longest time I ran Gnome. Not quite sure why I switched, I guess they finally nabbed me with Kontact.

I used to use WindowMaker primarily and KDE/Kwin if I wanted to show off.
Since installing Slackware and Dropline GNOME I don't even install KDE any
more and only run WindowMaker occasionally.
