Now, I had to read your post three times, to be able to do you justice.
And I think, others, should also read it a few times.
One of my first impressions was, that it is a very honest post.
Honest posts, are more likely to get negative criticism, as well.
To be honest, in this way, is a good way to get successful. If you can also withstand some negative criticism.
Negative criticism, is often wrong, and does not do justice.
It is the people like you, who make the best things, concepts, items, systems.
Also, because of the way they work: They go at a task, without wanting to already be able to do everything. They allow themselves to learn, but nevertheless, to work on difficult projects, which is the best way to do it.
I am still fascinated, each time I read your post over again.
You not only ask others to participate with your new project, but you allow them also to do part to the "shape making", making its looks, and so that it gets its final shape and form.
Your working stile has to be copied, followed, and encouraged, but not criticized.
- So actually, you are collecting other ideas and suggestions, as well, from which you can then select, and go ahead with it.
Some people have their heads stuffed and blocked up, with all sorts of knowledge:
You still have free space, for new ideas, and to work on them.

Hello.
Regrettably, I do not have such material.
So, if you won't be lucky, finding it here, just google: That is a fast way to find and get, within short time.
The google search results present a rich source of material.
I hope this helps you, and good luck.
Keep us all informed about your project, because we indeed are interested, nevertheless, that we can't help you that much.
Take good care. Interesting project. Courage, it will work out fine, once you really got into the stuff.
I think, you only need a little more courage. I actually see no other problems.
Kind regards,
Alexander

Hi Welcome to LF,
First of all,let you know I'm not good with nw ..i read beej's doc on linux IPC...have little knowledge abt nw.
I would suggest you to do google about nw tools..get a little tool (with less source code)and learn from it.
That's how i created my undelete tools ...you can read plenty of books and pdf...to gain knowledge ..but to do project you have to learn from similar projects and their source codes.
This doesn't mean you can copy and paste codes to project
There are plenty of open source tools with docs available...learn from it
All the best
