What about the development of Ubuntu?

What does anyone know about the development of Ubuntu Hardy? I heard that it will be out by October. Is it safe to say that it will use the 2.8 kernel? A lot bugs have been filed to the Ubuntu-Kernel Team about power problems. Hope they won't be there in Hardy.

What can you say about the development os openSUSE? I never heard of an unstable openSUSE 10.4!

The next Ubuntu version will be 8.04 which will be released in April next year. It will not use a 2.8 kernel because the current kernel releases are only upto 2.6.x.y so far. As for openSUSE, they never release an *.4 version, so the next openSUSE release will be 11.0 and the development has already started.
