Smolloy, I was really thanking you (for explaining what I meant). I wasn't refering to anything you said --I was refering to being compared to the general populus of thirteen-year-olds. Not to say that all thirteen-year-olds are stupid... but that's not the point. And I wasn't terribly offended; but I didn't appreciate it, either. I not mad, though.
And Pythagoras's theorem was dealing with Euclidian geometry, so yes, it's only for flat surfaces. Although, technically, if you drew straight lines, they would go threw the curves of Earth's surface... but that's not what you meant, is it? ^,^
And one of the funny things about quantum theory is that the molecules can just up and disappear instantaneously, so it is completely possible (however improbable) that the ball that you drop from wherever could disappear from your hand instead of go the other way --and so could everything else in this plane of existance. But that is why (a) theorems can be useful but not real as well as (b) I can't stand 90% of modern quantum physicists. They're always good for a laugh, though.

Smolly;
Thanks for clearing that up for me
I didn't think about the fact that the triangle would not be flat.It is forbidden to kill; therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets.
