Ahhh. I wish I knew how to work with Linux better. I'm really curious, and am wanting to look into so many more distros (even though I just started). I really wish I could use something more challenging, but even Ubuntu Hardy is keeping me busy enough.


Ah, well. I will explore more when I'm experienced.

Hi Elbow12! I know the feeling. I felt the very same way after installing Mandrake 8.2 back in 2002! But you learn as you go. Don't rush it, take your time and you'll eventually get to the point where you'll have the confidence to try out other distros. With Linux, you never stop learning because you never find yourself not wanting to.

I just installed openSUSE 11.0 and it's fantastic. I still like the tinker distro's though.

I really need more RAM so I can run a virtual machine properly. I really want to try Crux (thanks to Dapper for that one) but I don't want to format just to try it.

I'm using a cool version of Ubuntu 8.04 called Ultimate Edition - Harty Hotrod

Very cool and comes prelaoded with all kinds of good stuff. If you're a gamer, you'll love it.
