I voted for Other. I use Arch and technically, it's not a source-based distro.

Moe - do you know that link directs you to the second page of last year's thread?

Debian Lenny ( testing ).

I have tried almost all distros except LFS. Debian is perfect for me. I am testing new versions and distros regularly though.

Debian Testing, most of the time....

I also use Slackware every once in a while and like it just as much as Debian.

Debian Lenny. It's has the latest stable software almost all the time and suits me perfectly. I used to use Ubuntu (like most people when they start using Linux) which is a great distro, but still I like Debian better.

I voted other, and thus I can shamelessly advertise

I've been away from Slackware for quite some time now. Away from Slack?? Well, not entirely, I run Vector Linux 5.8 SOHO on my main machine, and Vector 5.9 Std brought live back to my old box.

Vector _is_ Slack, but in the best possible configuration (if such a thing exists) for desktop use. So you have a complete working Slack desktop system including all your multi media and office applications in one run of the installer (<20 minutes).

And of course you finetune this to your needs as you'd do with any system, but the bulk of the work has been done.

I use Sabayon on my laptop, and Sourcemage on an old Desktop.
I much prefer source-based distros.
Although I do like Arch, which is a binary distro, but not rpm or deb based.
