    I actually Met George Strait one day, when I lived in San Antonio. He is a very small guy, I thought he was at least taller than me, I'm only 5'7.
    I can't ever hear Buck Owens name without thinking of that crazy song they used to play on Hee Haw, " Where, Where are you tonight, Why did you leave me hear all alone" LOL.

    (Won't let this get too far off topic but...) George Strait is short? Wow! Never would have thought that! Like you, I had this idea he was a really tall fellow! Despite the fact that he has had more number one country hits than anyone else in the history of country music, he seems to be a real humble and gracious guy. Was that your impression when you met him?

    Absolutely, he was very down to earth, easy to talk to and he just seemed like a person that would make a good friend. If you didn't know who he was, I don't think he would be mistaken for a Super Star.
    A few other things about George, he wears glasses, He doesn't buy his own Vehicles, they are given to him by local car dealerships. When he speaks, he almost whispers.
