To me that kind of seems like most of the users under 20 just turned 20, seeing as the 20-25 group stayed pretty consistent from last year, but spiked up to 35% last year from 27% in 2006. Kind of seems too early in this poll's life to say, though.
Anyway, I just turned 19 in Dec.

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but we have or had some younger guys on here in the past year. I can't tell you their names though, I forget.
I think in last years poll we had a young man of 12 or 13 years old. I'm very impressed with all the young people that use Linux.I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.

You surprised me. I thought your link was going to show me something like this. Or a picture of the Mark II with an insert of this .
Just kidding, Dan.
The '50's were a strange time for computing. A lot of myths & misconceptions were generated, no thanks to Hollywood. But it was also a magical time. So many things were being done for the first time. I was born 4 years earlier; the year IBM released it's first commercial electronic computer, the 701. That event is eclipsed in most peoples minds by the birth of the 'vette, though.
Of course a few other minor events happened that year. Stalin died, Queen Elizabeth II ascended the throne, the cure for polio was released, Mt Everest was finally conquered, the first James Bond novel was published, and an upstart little girlie magazine named Playboy released it's first issue.
A lot more happened too, but who cares. Aside from a few drug-fueled events in the 60's, nothing much happened after that, 'til punk rock arrived in the '70's. Western civilization collapsed the following year. After that our interest shifted to pc's and the rest is history. Or something like that.
