I've been using Openbox for a while so I voted for other. No XFCE?

*sigh* Every time I make one of these polls someone comes up with one I didn't include. XFCE will have to fall under other this year. If enough folks list it I'll add it the next time I create one.

Because honestly I don't think there are enough XFce users out there to make a difference. I don't mean that to sound rude or dismissive, I just don't want to add every desktop under the sun and have 1 vote for them. I tried to cover what I thought would encompass *most* of the users and added "Other" for the rest.

most of the time now I generally use icewm or ratpoison, but that's just until I need to configure a .emacswm

I mostly use KDE because of how configurable it is. Ocassionally I use GNOME, but its an experience thats getting rare with time.
