    Took me long enough!

    CRUX 2.4 & IceWM!!!

Not even close to being finished tinkering yet, though! I'm gonna do some research and find out how to get stuff like Flash and Java ging. But, dammit all... I got it going!

By the way, I picked an image of Gandalf for a reason. Right now, I feel like I just succeeded in a journey to gain wisdom. And the whole CRUX ordeal that I just went through really gave me a FAR deeper understanding of Linux as a whole.

I guess you already know knoppix is really a live CD distro rather than something to put on a hard drive ... it can be done but its not something I would do Anyway good look with the install

Sorry for the confusion....I am not installing knoppix. I have been an avid Windows user and since earlier this year have been reading the threads and posts of the members on this forum. I am also close to Jayd512 and have watched his knowledge in Linux flourish. This weekend is going to be my first look at Knoppix (honestly its my first personal look at any distro) YAY!! But thank you for the luck, I am going to need it...its going to be a learning weekend for me. Sorry again for the confusion.

Have no fear... I knew what you mean It's time to start turning you into a convert! And if all goes well, we'll start looking for a distro to get you going on a dual-boot!
