Very nice, Dan! I gotta ask though...

You make your desktop look awesome, and I just now got around to installing IceWM so I was wondering if there was a site or 'how-to' that you could recommend that would give me a few hints on how I should get it looking sharp.
Manchunian was kind enough to hook me up with a link , but you seem to be the guy for IceWM.

Any advice?

I made the switch to CRUX, very speedily optimised though, I had trouble setting up ppp. Instead of wasting time on setting it up, I returned to Ubuntu. I am thinking of recompiling CRUX in summer holidays with better experience. Dan, may I please know if a separate module has to be built for /dev/ppp? That's because /dev/ppp by default does not exist!

Fedora with IceWM finally up and running!

Still got some fine tuning to do, though!

I love that photo Dan; whereabouts is that? Also a very good advert for IceWM.

Looking good jayd512! That's a really cool image! And the desktop looks sparse and clean, just how I like it! Good work!

Hi fingal! Thanks! I'm not sure where I found it! I think I did an image search on trees plus sea or something... I've gotten into this mode of using solitary trees in a beautiful landscape for desktop backgrounds. Seems to have a calming effect on me.

I do the same thing with streams, waterfalls, copses and woodland paths -- case in point, my earlier example.

Cheers!
