Canon MP500 printer driver
Found it here:

canon japan url full of japanese characters

Most of the Google results for the linux drivers for the Canon MP500 send you to an ftp site that just doesn't connect. I don't speak japanese, but I was able to download from this page the rpms necessary to build the canonmp500.pdd file:

cnijfilter-mp500-2.60-4.i386.rpm
cnijfilter-common-2.60-3.i386.rpm
cnijfilter-mp500-lprng-2.60-4.i386.rpm

Hope that helps someone. Took me half a day to find it.

That site may or may not be legit, I couldn't tell. As I don't read japanese.
