    so annoyed with ebay

so i found that the reason the stores cant keep the wii's in stock is mainly because people are buying them as soon as they reach the store to turn around and sell on ebay. really just irritates me for starters ebay used to be a cool place to unload your old crap now its everyone trying to make a tax free business.

    just venting

Just curious, how did you "find out" about this? I don't think that's the reason stores sell out at all. Sure, there are going to be people scalping the "popular" thing trying to make an easy buck but have you considered perhaps that there are just that many people interested in having and playing with the Wii?

People still scalp the PS3 but all the stores in my area had plentiful stocks of them to sell. My local Best Buy has mountains of them strewn across the store. They just didn't sell as well. My point is, simply because something is sold out doesn't mean it's because all of them are being hocked on ebay.

was reading acouple of articles relating to it. they showed a big jump on ebays sales of them when the number of production went up. like i said venting. its amazing that some of the same sellers have two or three for sale at a time when the stores cant keep them in stock. plus some of the retailers are selling it online at an inflated price and including 6 games or 5 games and some other junk but not offering the wii itself. target best buy and walmart online sales are all doing that.

I didn't have to go to a Best Buy to see that. However, I saw almost as many Xbox 360 systems on display this holiday season as PS3s. The difference was you could tell the 360s were selling.

Yeah, I don't like the $600 "bundles" offered by a lot of the major stores online. It's an artificial way to keep their inventory up, since most people with sense wouldn't buy them.

I feel for you. I got my Wii only through a random suggestion of my significant other and some dumb luck. We took a chance at the only store that didn't have a line on launch day.
