    Smile Dropped Windows

well for a while now two things stopped me from getting rid of my windows partition. 1 was that I needed a way to pptp vpn into work from time to time. and 2 was i needed a RC flight sim for practicing flying. well i hadnt flown my rc flight sim for about six months and managed to get the vpn working. so last month i just dropped my windows partition when i was re-installing ubuntu. this christmas i got a new rc flight simulator that the company has an unsupported linux binary to so i opened the box went to the site on the internet and downloaded the binary had to move some files over and a USB hack to get usb controller to work without being root. well it worked brilliantly. i have been downloading new airplanes like mad. i deserve one of those

    Here ya go!

It's a great feeling when your hard drive stops being a hotel for operating systems and you get to go completely with one. I haven't looked back once since I dropped Windows, in fact around that time I decided to stop switching distros on my main machine and went 'production'.

Now my laptop gets all the switching!

You don't have Windows? Then how do you read the Internet? Linux is just for games... *ducks*

Wish I could just dump windows, unfortunately Visual Basic is just too hard to program properly in Linux (Mono just doesn't cut it yet) and most of the people I work for still use Windows so need to keep my hand in a little, for now I'll have to keep wasting hard drives by having a different OS on each one Congrats to you though, must feel great.
