Foxytunes are really... foxy
I'm not usually a big fan of browser plugins. Maybe it's just my 'frills free' approach to things, but I'm wary of overloading Firefox with add-ons. After all - I think - they might cause a crash or have some strange security related bug. Paranoia can annoy ya!
But now I'm sold. Oh yes! And the reason is Foxytunes. I only installed it last night, and that was because I saw a host of recommendations from magazines. You just configure it to recognise your media player (and it can see most of them) then you play a track and off you go.
I decided to try a bit of Neil Young, clicked on the Foxytunes icon (it's a small musical note) and it took me to a browser page loaded up with lyrics for the track I was hearing, photos, Youtube clips, biogs., Flickr photos... More stuff than I needed really. This is the mutt's nuts! FoxyTunes - Control any media player while surfing the Web and more...

I had seen a lot about it on line but I was never attracted to it. I think on your recommendation I'll take a look now. I didn't know about the additional stuff so that's cool. Plus you said Neil Young which instantly took my interest.
Do you use Amarok? Does it work with that?
