    Another old classic goes GPL

SimCity goes open source as "Micropolis"

I hope this helps the LinCity and LinCity-NG folks out. I've always enjoyed SimCity, but the OSS implementations of it were always somewhat lacking in my opinion. Kudos to Will Wright for following Id Software's example.

It sure didn't take long for someone to come up with a compiling tutorial.

I thought this was such good news, that I , yep you guessed it, I installed it.
A few simple modifications to the tutorial will get it installed on Gentoo.

I've found a few user-created DEB files around the internet as well. It won't take long before this is in a repository somewhere, I think.

This is cool to see another classic game go the way of the GPL.
