It is apparently a real image, but what is shows is rocks and
shadows. This is according to the Sun (in the UK) so you can take
it with as much salt as you need to...

    Mind you... linky

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

I understand that Mars is very cold indeed and that it has a thin atmosphere. Nothing with lungs and legs would be able to walk around unaided.

If there is life it is probably microscopic, hidden in underground water sources.

Years ago I read an essay by Arthur C Clarke about the possibility of humans living on Mars in specially constructed domes (complete with oxygen etc.) So maybe WE are the Martians after all.

Does Mars have any mineral deposits worth mining? If so, then I can see a reason for being there one day...

They have iron and oxygen ^,^
I wanna go to Mars. Because I have this lovely unprovable theory that I will live forever, I very well may someday, but until then I would still like to see people striving towards it. I mean, we, or whatever we are then, will eventually (billions of years from now) have to leave our solar system when Sol blows up, so we might as well start somewhere....

Looks like Bigfoot to me. Or a strangely-shaped rock formation. Not like we haven't seen those before on Mars. Geez, some people will blow *anything* out of proportion.

I think it might be a real martian, because it does look a little bit (dark) green in color.

    Not a woman

Look back at the picture. This "woman" has a beard like the caveman a Gicko commercials, and there are no breasts, or even female facial features, or hair. Looks pretty manly to me.
