A vision for automated cleaning agents

Trains and airplanes will be cleaned from the inside by dedicated cleaning devices . They clean by either suction or grabbing dirt and debris . Other cleaning devices may only desinfect. Over the day when trains and planes are in use, the cleaners sit idle, charging their batteries . When the trains and airplanes are out of use, the automatic cleaners are let loose during the allotted cleaning time. The advantage is that these devices are more capable of reaching otherwise difficult to reach areas as well as work unassisted and during times for which human cleaners are hard to recruit. These devices are also environment aware : they will work their way around obstacles .
They are programmed to work only in a confined area. They can be signaled to stop working and transfer themselves to the dispatch point in case of an emergency and without the need to be collected manually. Similar devices are already in use as lawn mowers and vacuum cleaners.

    Umm... sounds good?

(just a thought, but prehaps we should start a collective science fiction thread...)
