    Question How does the MySQL buyout affect Linux?

    I learned a while ago someone bought out that thing. Although I've never used it, it seems to be a large part of Linux and server administration. Is it no longer free? How does that affect Linux and the open-source community?

    It was Sun that bought out MySQL - Not Oracle. Anyway even if
    Sun don't play nice I assume it can be forked like Star Office and
    Open Office
