    Alternate for Internet Explorer?

    Hey ppl,
I use firefox and konqurer at times from the time i switched to linux.
When it comes to a few websites i am being forced to use microsoft windows internet explorer.
The main website i have come across is the customer login page of deutsche bank.
I guess any ny who tries to log in will be told to upgrade to IE5.5 or greater as they use some very high encryption level.

With firefox i dont even see the secure virtual keypad.
With konqurer I can see the secure virtual keypad but cant log in!

Is there any way i can break into this fix?

I am being forced to reboot into windows for this... and when i did ask the bank they had no clue to what i was asking for and replied lke a automated machine that was replying to my query...

Has any one come across similar website, and if so what did you do to get arround it?

    Thanks,
    Prashant.

This is a decision of the bank in how they coded their website. You will have to voice your concern with them.

Use the search button - I think someone else on this forum has the same complaint not too long ago.

If you are running Adblock or NoScript or any similar filters make sure you disable them for that page. Sometimes not running javascript can break functionality on this type of page.

Umm... didn't someone at some point say something about being able to use Opera and make it look like you're running I.E.?
I could just be crazy... (chances are I am even if I am right, though)

As mentioned in the cross-referenced thread, even if you "look" like IE, you don't have ActiveX support. So depending on how the page is coded, just looking like IE is not the solution.

The cross refference thread was a similar thread. Agreed and sorry to have not looked before starting this.

But just a minute-- I am a bit lost here. I am a bit lost here.

How do i add or remove any filter in firefox.

And for javascript. I still havent figured out where exactly firefox is stored in the filesystem and so i seem to have a problem in enabling it. Do you expct me to set it up and enable java?

No I just meant if you were using the Adblock or NoScript Firefox addons you might consider disabling them. If you aren't sure what they are then chances are you aren't using them.
