The Year of the Rat 7 Feb 2008 through 25 Jan 2009!!

    Happy Chinese New Year!!

February 7, 2008 is " Tet " or the Chinese New Year. The day that you have on this day will set the overall trend for the kind of year you are going to have during 2008.

It will be a number one year. That means that if you are a male born in 1945, 1954, 1963, 1972, 1981 or 1990 it will be your year.

The energy of the cosmos will be seeking you to bring you new experiences, new things and new people. The energy of the cosmos will also be removing some things and some people from your life that have been with you over the past nine years.

May the heavens shower you with Good Fortune!!

Cool. I was curious what animal we were on this year. I'm Year of the Dog myself. Anyone know when the next occurrence of that is?

Damn! I'm a dragon, but I have some noodles in the cupboard so I'll celebrate that way.

TechieMoe the last year of the Dog was 2006. The next one will be 2018. However every nine years from the year that you were born you will move into the five " house " and the cosmos will be bringing you its energy.

I'm planning to hit up the celebration in Chinatown this year. It's Feb. 17, which is strange, since that's 10 days after the actual Lunar New Year. I've never been to one before, but we did a Dragon Dance at Kung Fu the other day, and it was awesome .

And by the way, I'm Year of the Dragon. Yes, you can all be jealous.
