Just received my Zonbu PC
I started a thread a few weeks ago about people's feeling on it, but since I didn't get any response, and because I can't find the old one, I'm starting this now that I received the one I bought.
I got it last night, but only had time to install everything today! I gotta say, it's really small (I got the MiniPC). So far it's really good, the OS uses XFCE as the desktop env, but I didn't recognize it until I dropped down to the terminal to check which processes were running. It took me a little while to get it going since I had to figure out how to enable to "free edition" of the OS, having to drop down to the CLI and typing in a command (they really need a better way of doing that).
The specs are pretty minimal: 1.2GHz VIA C7, 512MB RAM, 4GB CF card posing as HD (I actually bought a few extra CF cards to just swap cards to change distros).
I've only used it for a few hours now, but I seriously think it has potential to be a desktop replacement (I mostly browse the net and some eventual compiling).
All in all, for $300 I think it was a really good buy, and I recommend if all you want is do basic computer operations (it's definitely not for gamers)."Today you are freer than ever to do what you want, provided you can pay for it!" --Bad Religion

How much are you having to pay each month?

Oh, I guess I forgot to mention! I got the "no strings attached" one, which cost $300 and no monthly plan. With a coupon code I found (5OFF) it actually cost a little less than $300. This is why I had to enable the "free edition" version.
I also forgot the mention that the distro is a Gentoo-based one."Today you are freer than ever to do what you want, provided you can pay for it!" --Bad Religion
