Anyone read SPRING INTO PHP5?
I remember when I first began learning how to program, about 1995, books seemed to make it more interesting to learn a programming language. It seems those books are no longer being published. The books now are just kind of bland and don't explain things the way they used to. However, I did find this book Spring into PHP5 and it seemed to have the feel of those books I used to read. Has anyone read this book or have any recommendations as to books I could learn PHP5 from?
I would normally learn a language by reading online, for free, but it seems like most of the online guides don't go as in depth as some of the books I've peaked into. So if anyone has a suggestion for an online guide or online book please let me know. Thanks

I don't know if they have a PHP one, but the head first series
are really good.If we hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate! (Zapp Brannigan)
My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.
