i checked to see if there was one of these already, but i didnt see one, if there is let me know.
Anyway, do as the title says... post your system hardware and specs.
I have an IBM thinkcentre with 512 mb ram. My hd is 39 gigs for slackware and 600 something for swap partition. other than that, its a standard thinkcentre with a P3 processor. and of course designed for windos xp
but windows isnt good enough for me.
my laptop is a toshiba tecra s1 with an awesome graphics card! if only it wasnt broken.
its got a mobility radeon 9000 graphics card that is working at 9% and a centrino processor according to the sticker but the documentation says pentium m processor with 1.6 ghz 400 mhz bus speed . its got 1 gig of ram and decent wireless strength. its currently running windows:drown:
i havent put linux on because i havent gotten linux to be fully functional on my compy yet.
but as soon as i figure this out the rest of the way its getting slack 12 too.

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q600 2.4GHz
    2GB 667MHz DDR2
    ASUS P5N-E SLI Motherboard
    Nvidia 8600GT-OC 512MB GDDR3
2x320GB Western Digital Caviar SATA drives.

It was only upgraded a few months back but I think this spec will keep me busy for a while.

This makes me want to build a computer again.

My old computer was built in '05ish I think.
    Pentium D 330 @ 3Ghz
Scythe Shogun heatsink + 120mm fan
Aspire case and a pretty sweet fan system in it.
250GB sata2 hdd - XP 50GB, Linux 50GB (changed flavors a lot but ended with SLED10), and the rest was a FAT32 partition used for storage
1GB stick of OCz gold series DDR2 (wanted to upgrade to another 1GB dual channel but didnt get to)
    1 GB Intel NIC
    ATI x700 Pro pci-x
    DVD+-RW NEC

My laptop is from '04 I think (the motherboard was replaced once since my sister spilled nail polish removed on it...
    Dell Inspiron 8600
    Pentium M @ 1.4Ghz
    512 MB/DDR
    32MB Nvidia go5200
    DVD+-RW
    B/G Intel PRO Wireless
30GB IDE - 8GB WinXP (car tuning/light gaming), 8GB Slackware 11 (testing, internet, media), rest for storage (FAT32)

I have about 4 servers and two boxes for parts. Nothing too worthwhile, though.
    I praise Webmin and PuTTy!

My newest machine is a Zepto ZNote3215W
It had Vista listed as OPTION heheh... guess I didn't go with the full options on this machine They also advertise as Ubuntu ready
(I thought that was worth mentioning here )

    Anyway:
    Laptop (new)
    Intel Core2Duo 2.0Ghz
    1GB RAM
    120GB HD
    Intel X3100 graphics
    Intel Wireless
-->sound gave a bit of a problem, but the latest ALSA fixed that.

    Laptop (old)
    Packard Bell
    Intel Celeron(M) 1.5Ghz
    512MB RAM
    40GB HD
    RaLink RT2500 wireless (doesn't work)
Busted keyboard, machine is a 'fit anywhere do anything server' now

    Laptop (ancient)
    Fujitsu-Siemens
    AMD 450mhz
    156MB RAM
    4GB HD
    RaLink RT2500 wireless (works)
Retired, but occasionally taken for a spin. It works quite good
Can't tell an OS by it's GUI

I could post it all here... but I'd rather just link to it.

    Test Machines

Rigs 1 and 2 were built by me, 3 and 4 were purchased.
