    Help! blue screen of death

So I built a new gaming macine about two days ago, using all new parts etc. Anyway When I boot up my machine it will load everything for a few minutes then a blue screen of death 50 will show up (very briefly) and it will restart it's self. When it restarts it's self it's fine, although sometimes the bluescreen error will occur when it restarts it's self and it will restart it's self again.

At first I thought it might be the RAM so we did a BurnIn test and everything passed (have yet to do a memory test). I've got a small windows partition on this machine at the moment and haven't installed my linux distro yet.

Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this problem?

I would try to get memtest run as soon as possible. I have seen bad memory cause more bluescreens than anything else. If that works out well I would try removing one PCI card/peripheral at a time until you can figure out what is causing the bluescreens. It is most likely bad hardware but also check out the temperatures as close to crash time as possible.

Ditto, but I'll say that most of the time when a while-booting blue-screen has occurred for me, it's been a corrupted Windows file. For that matter, perhaps taking all of the unnecessary parts off (keeping only keyboard, HDD, minimal RAM, and, if external, video card). If that basic setup fails, along with the memory test, try a reinstall.

I would just insert my Fav LiveCD and see if it continues to Crash, If not, then it's probably a Windows problem.
