    Virtualization software?

Do you use it? If so, what package do you use, and for what purpose(s). What hardware are you running it on? (PC, Mac, gaming console, other...? what are the primary machine specs, etc.?) What OS'es and apps are you running in virtual space? I've been seeing a number of articles in the linux press and online about various virtualization packages and the idea intrigues me. With all the talk of kvm having been implimented in the kernel now, I've wondered if vm on a single higher spec machine might be the way to go. I'm really interested in feedback from anyone who has gone this route, or who just has experience running and/or testing virtualization software. THX!

I use VMWare Server because its free and i am able to install and play with several distros at once for kicks without messing with my host system.

For a while I used Parallels VM on my Macbook Pro to do rants on Linux distributions. Newer ones seemed to give it fits though, so I ended up switching to Innotek VirtualBox. That one recently got bought by Sun. I generally use it to test out distributions I'm not comfortable running on my desktop, like alpha releases and such.
