I'm not a fan of GNOME (I prefer KDE), but I like the way its presented in Linux Mint. It seems to be quite popular because of the customisation as well as the fact that they include many multimedia codecs by default.

Linux Mint rocks!! More people like it than don't. Definitely is superior to Ubuntu. At least that's what more experienced Linux users say. I'm sure I'll open up a can of worms on here with that statement. hehe.... oooops!
