Starting Our Own Icebuntu Project??
This thread may not even take off because I could see a lot of people, even those who would be interested, just feeling like this is too daunting of a task. But I thought I would throw it out there just in case.
Who here would be interested in creating our own Icebuntu Linux project?? I realize this might be too much to handle, but I am sure there are plenty of us who could figure this out. And for some incentives, just think of this:
hahahaha.... I say do it! Hell! It doesn't have to be Ubuntu-based. It could be something else. I'm open for ideas!Announcement from Distrowatch.org
The Icebuntu project team announces the very first release of Icebuntu 1.0. This Ubuntu-based distro comes equipped with IceWM as the default Desktop Manager and is slimmed down in size to come with only the bare essentials for a fast, smooth, and outrageous operating system.Using Linux since June 2007
Distros: Mint 12

DAMN IT!!! Yeah someone did beat us to it. All that conversation on AIM about it for nothing!! Oh well, hahaha... maybe we can just do something different. Look at what someone posted on the Icebuntu page:
hahahhahaa..... ok.... new direction!!! Who would be interested in making a distro with IceWM as the default, just not basing it off any one distro?Michael Magua February 14, 2008 at 11:47 pm

The Ubuntu theme is getting boring though.

Icebuntu, is simply an IceWM theme to look like Ubuntu... sort of. You can run it on IceWM on any distro. It's not a full fledged distro.
