    Hi I'm new


    Hey I'm new to this forum, and I'm quite new to Linux. I've been using Linux for about 4 months and I think it's great. I'm learning C programming and hope to become a Linux guru someday

    noble goal, but its also gonna be tough to decide when you are officaly a 'guru'. regurdless cprogrammin.com has been an invaluable tool for me while i learned c++ and then ported those skills to c they not only have great code examples, but short quizes that help you decide if your ready to move on to the next topic. if you want to really get into linux, dive in! set a series of goals to have you machine doing by the end of the month and then make it do them.

    So true qub333. I've been using Linux over 4 years now and still consider myself a noob. I have gained some skills and can respond to many problems but I find myself researching situations more than than answering questions.

    we all still learning things about linux despite the fact that we use it for years(i use it for 4 years)..
