    AC Adapter Parts?

I have an AC adapter with 4 pins... not well made. I would like to purchase just the male connector, cut the old one off and wire the new one on. I do not want to pay $70-$100 for something I can spend four dollars on to fix. This is, basically, my AC adapter: AC Adapter

Does anyone know any trustworthy websites to purchase random parts from? There seems to be a few out there but they do not seem too promising but I know there are some out there.

I've found that Newegg has most of what I'm looking for, and I've heard good things about Tiger Direct.

I always forget about TigerDirect. Unfortunately it looks like they don't carry connectors and either does NewEgg.

I'm actually looking for a male connector, not a whole new adapter. It's extremely hard to find my AC adapter and if I can find it it's out of stock or at least $70 and that is from questionable online stores. Since the adapter itself works fine I just need to get a new male connector that plugs into my computer.

I did find a store called DigiKey which has a ton of stuff but it doesn't seem promising that they carry the connector I'm in search of. Know of any other stores?

Never purchase from UnitedSale.com AKA PriceMistake on Ebay

NEVER purchase anything from UnitedSale.com, their name is PriceMistake on eBay.

When I first started looking for a new AC adapter I found UnitedSale.com and looked up reviews of the online store, as I usually do with stores I am new to. Every review I found sounds almost exactly like what happen to me so I did not purchase from them. I went to eBay and purchased from a seller there, it said nothing in the listing about UnitedSale.com. Sadly, as you probably guessed, it was being sold by UnitedSale.com. I only found this out after I used "Buy it Now" and saw the sellers Paypal address.

They sent me the wrong item, even though it was listed as my exact AC adapter. When it arrived it was not even close to the specs of my adapter except for the four pin male connector that goes into my computer. I emailed them and asked for a refund. They told me the adapter they sent would work and to try it. I did not because I did not want to take the risk of burning out my computer.

When I asked for the refund they gave it except for shipping. Then I had to request a refund for the shipping. I still had to pay $10 to send it back, which they did not pay for.

Thanks for the heads-up! I had never heard of them, and that might explain why. I'll poke around a bit more a see if I can find anything.

I have found something, finally: J-tip male connector.

There is a problem though, the little dent is on the bottom, not the top. So close!
